Nepal's Ambassadors to UAE, Thailand and Kuwait have pledged to work sincerely for our export promotion to the concerned countries.

At an interaction programme organised by Trade and Export Promotion Centre in Lalitpur on Sunday, the ambassadors assured to facilitate trade and export by holding meetings with trade related organisations in the host countries.

On the occasion, Nepali Ambassador to Thailand Dhan Bahadur Oli said that he would work honestly by putting his all efforts where there is possibility for trade promotion.

"Entrepreneurs should also create an environment to work together for promotion of trade and export. Nepal's cardamom and ginger are the best products in the world. There is a unique market for strawberry produced in Nepal and there is possibility of Nepali footwear in Bangladesh," he said.

Similarly, Nepali Ambassador to Kuwait, Ghanshyam Lamsal, mentioned that he would resolve the issues of Nepali migrant workers there and would work for trade facilitation and promotion.

"Labour and trade related activities are our priority. The main job is to sell Nepali products. All the expectations would be fulfilled. Nepali products are being promoted by keeping them at the Embassy's reception section. It will be made more effective," he shared.

Saying there is a huge trade deficit of Nepal, Nepal's Ambassador to UAE Tej Bahadur Chhetri said he would take initiative to provide stalls at different exhibitions organised in UAE for free, adding they would encourage Nepali people to organise fair and other programmes in foreign land.

"I will always be ready to facilitate if Nepali traders request for it," shared Ambassador Chhetri.

Expressing the view that there is immense potential to export Nepali carpet in UAE, Chairperson of Export Council, Resham Pokharel, said the Embassy should take initiative for the export of Nepali carpet.

Executive Director of Trade and Export Promotion Centre, Sharad Bikram Rana, said that the budget provided by the government to organise the fair is limited and stressed the need of taking initiatives to provide stalls at low cost.
