KATHMANDU: The US dollar has reached a record high, while foreign currencies such as the Australian dollar, euro, and pound have become cheaper in Nepal today.
In addition, the prices of certain currencies, including the Kuwaiti and Bahraini dinars, have increased today.
According to the exchange rates released by the National Bank, the buying rate for one US dollar today is 136 rupees 69 paisa, and the selling rate is 137 rupees 29 paisa.
This is the highest price recorded for the US dollar so far, continuing a trend of rising values over the past few months.
Yesterday, the buying rate for one US dollar was 136 rupees 56 paisa, and the selling rate was 137 rupees 16 paisa.
Similarly, today the buying rate for one euro is 142 rupees 35 paisa, and the selling rate is 142 rupees 97 paisa.
Yesterday, the buying rate for one euro was 142 rupees 67 paisa, and the selling rate was 143 rupees 30 paisa.
The buying rate for one Pound Sterling today is 171 rupees 43 paisa, and the selling rate is 172 rupees 18 paisa.
Yesterday, the buying rate for one pound was 172 rupees 09 paisa, and the selling rate was 173 rupees 30 paisa.
Today, the buying rate for one Australian dollar is 84 rupees 90 paisa, and the selling rate is 85 rupees 28 paisa.

The buying rate for one Kuwaiti dinar today is 443 rupees 65 paisa, and the selling rate is 445 rupees 60 paisa.
