Gold price continues to drop

KATHMANDU: Gold prices have fallen by Rs 400 per tola today, continuing a downward trend that began four days ago.

The price of gold is now Rs 162,200 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders.

This follows a Rs 2,400 drop in price on Tuesday, when gold was valued at Rs 162,600 per tola.

Just a week ago, on Monday, gold was priced at Rs 165,000 per tola, and on Sunday, it stood at Rs 166,000.

Gold prices reached a record high of Rs 171,000 per tola on October 31, but have since declined by nearly Rs 9,000 per tola over the past 13 days.

In contrast, silver prices have risen by Rs 15 per tola, going from Rs 1,925 yesterday to Rs 1,940 today.
