Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is issuing a treasury bill worth Rs 10.25 billion on Monday.
The treasury bill worth Rs 8 billion will have a maturity of 91 days and will expire on July 13 while the treasury bill worth Rs 2.25 billion will have a maturity of 182 days that would expire on October 12.
Earlier, the bank had sold the treasury bill worth Rs 21.10 billion on April 5.
Treasury bills have a maturity of one year or less and they do not pay interest before the expiry of the maturity period. They are sold in auctions at a discount from the par value of the bill. They are offered with maturities of 28 days (one month), 91 days (3 months), 182 days (6 months), and 364 days (one year).
