The chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will be holding discussions today again regarding the prohibitory order. The meeting will take a decision on the modality of the prohibitory order and the duration till when it will be imposed.
The chief district officers had held a meeting on Tuesday too where issues related to the prohibitory order were discussed in detail. The CDOs are likely to take a decision on the prohibitory order today.
There are reports that the prohibitory order in Kathmandu valley will likely be extended and a decision to this effect will be announced today. The order that was recently extended by a week will end at midnight on Thursday.
It has also been reported that the prohibitory order will not be as strict as the current one. Grocery shops and department stores, which had not been allowed to open during the present prohibitory order will likely be allowed to open till 10 am.
