Federal law needed for investment in education: State Minister

Minister of State Umesh Shrestha, in the Office of the Council of Ministers, informed that various federal laws are being brought for the development of the private education sector.

Addressing a program at Swastishree Gurukul School in Kathmandu today, Minister Shrestha said that an environment would be created for the private sector to invest more in education after the federal law is enacted. He participated in the event through virtual media. He informed that separate laws would be enacted on technical and higher education and school level education.

Minister Shrestha said that education was necessary according to the changing times & needs, and claimed that Nepal would become a hub of education and health. "Even now, 60,000-70,000 students go abroad to study. Billions of rupees go abroad," he said.

Mentioning that good deeds are criticized, he also suggested to be patient. Today, Swastishree Gurukul was declared 'IB World School'.
