Police arrested a youth on charge of snatching a gold chain out of a person in Budhanilkantha Municipality-10, Kathmandu district, on Sunday.
The arrestee has been identified as Anjit Subedi (22 ), a resident of Tatopani in Bhotekoshi Municipality of Sindhupalchowk district, currently residing in Aarubari, Gokarneshwor Municipality.
According to police, Sanu basnet, resident of Akashedhara, Kapan in Budhanilkantha-10 was closing the gate of his residence when suddenly Subedi snatched his gold chain weighing 2 tolas.
Police personnel deployed from the Metropolitan Police Sector, Kapan with the help of local residents caught subedi who was running away after snatching the gold.
Further investigation into the case is underway , said police.
