The idol of Goddess Trishakti, which was brought from Lalitpur's Harsiddhi village along with the idol of Devgana on Monday, has been placed on the Harsiddhi Pati in Panauti Bazaar for worship. According to the original management committee, holy water was sacrificed to the Basuki snake at Trivenighat, and sheep were sacrificed to the deity.

According to Purushottam Karmacharya, financial coordinator of the fair, the Harsiddhi dance has also started from this morning and Panchabali (lamb, goat, buffalo, duck and fish) will be sacrificed throughout the day. According to the Jatra Management Committee, the procession will end on Wednesday. The committee has stated that the procession, which has been celebrated in Panauti for the last 60 years, could not be held continuously due to various reasons. Earlier, the Jatra was organized in 2009 by collecting funds from public participation.

There is a belief that if a pure mind worships Trishakti Devi, their desire will be fulfilled. It is said that the Harsiddhi dance, which is believed to have started about two thousand years ago, was started by King Vikramaditya.

The Panauti Municipality has given a public holiday today to celebrate the Harsiddhi Jatra, which occurs once every 12 years.
