Korean Ambassador Park Meets with Mayor Balendra Shah of Kathmandu

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Tae-Young Park, met with Mayor Balendra Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, to discuss future cooperation.

Ambassador Park and Mayor Shah appreciated the deepening cooperation between Korea and Nepal across various fields such as development, employment, and the economy, based on cultural and human exchanges between the two countries. They expressed hope that, with this year marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, the cooperation between Korea and Nepal would further expand.

They acknowledged that the City of Seoul and Kathmandu Metropolitan City became 'Friendship and Cooperation Cities' in 2016 and agreed to work towards more active exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
