Nepali Congress (NC) today held the party's central committee meeting to pass a condolence motion on the demise of its central member and former minister Nabindra Raj Joshi.
NC central member Joshi passed away on Friday. He had been receiving treatment for a brain haemorrhage, at Norvic Hospital.
Nepali Congress lawmaker Teju Lal Chaudhary who was present in the emergency meeting at the central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur said Joshi's mortal remains will be kept at the central office till 3:30 pm today for final tributes. He told NepalNews that Joshi's mother has wished to perform her son's funeral rites at Devghat while other members of the bereaved family have chosen Aryaghat in Pashupatinath temple.
NC leader Joshi had won the 2013 second Constituent Assembly elections from Kathmandu Constituency 8.
