Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale today bade farewell to singer Raju Lama and actress Dia Pun of Mongolian Heart, who were on their way to climb the world's highest peak, Mount Everest.
In a program organized at the Ministry, Minister Ale handed over the national flag of Nepal to Lama and Pun and wished them farewell and ascend. Minister Ale has expressed his commitment to providing necessary assistance to singer Lama and actress Pun who are about to climb Mt. Everest.
Minister Ale said, "Climb the mountain with vigilance and caution, let us know if you need help. We are here to help." Singer Lama and actress Dia said that they are going to climb the mountain to convey the message of the impact of climate change.
Similarly, Minister Ale also handed over congratulatory letters to Lama and Pun. Singer Lama will also perform a musical program in the second week of April at Camp 6 at an altitude of 6,500 meters. He said, "I am going to climb Mt. Everest to reduce carbon emissions, promote tourism, and strengthen the relationship between music and the mountains. We plan to set a record by giving the highest concert in the world."
Actress Pun is scheduled to leave for Mount Everest on March 10 and will return there on March 7. She informed that she is going to climb the mountain with the aim of promoting Nepali film in the world and the impact of climate change on the mountain.
