Plans are afoot to hold a fashion show at the base camp of Mt Everest again for the second time. The second edition of the Mount Everest Fashion Runway has been scheduled for September 22 according to the initial plans.
The fashion show which will have the participation of models from across the world including Nepal will be organised at Kalapathar in the Everest region. It is being organised by K Films and ME 2 Films to help boost mountain tourism in the country. Nepal Tourism Board will also be providing support to the event.
The first edition of the Mount Everest Fashion Runway was held in January 2020 with a theme of climate change. Models from 18 different countries had participated in the show. In fact, the show had also been recognised by the Guinness World Records for it being organised in the highest place on Earth.
