KATHMANDU: A new and exciting form of entertainment has started in Kathmandu. An 18D cinema, based on modern technology, has officially opened on the third floor of City Center, Kamalpokhari. The cinema was inaugurated by famous Nepali actor Rajesh Hamal on the occasion of the New Year.
During the opening ceremony, Rajesh Hamal also watched a movie in the 18D cinema. After the experience, he shared, “It felt like I was inside the scenes. I have never had such a thrilling experience before.”
This 18D cinema is operated by Flyover Entertainment, managed by Ram Thapa and Himal Gurung.There are just 10 people in this theatre who can watch a show at a time. The movies are short, anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes, but full of adventure and thrills.
The 18D adventure is made up of pictures, sound, movement, air, and vibrations that leave one with the feeling that one is a part of the film. A few of the thrilling themes include dinosaur adventures, sea travels, space battles, and jungle safaris.
As per the operators, this new technology will offer a new and enjoyable entertainment experience for Kathmandu people. It is accessible to individuals of all ages. In order to experience this new thing, one has to spend just Rs. 300 per head.
This 18D cinema is likely to be a popular hot spot in the city and provide a new experience that is quite different from the usual cinema halls.
