A magnitude 6.0 earthquake shook the region of Kagoshima in Japan on Thursday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. The quake struck at 11:05 a.m. local time on Thursday.
Its epicenter was 29.4 degrees north latitude and at a depth of 20 kilometers, it was 129.4 degrees east longitude. No tsunami alert was issued after the quake.
