KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Xavier Bettel of Luxembourg in Luxembourg on Tuesday.
Bettel was also the Prime Minister of Luxembourg from 2013 to 2023.
During the meeting at his office in Luxembourg City, various aspects of Nepal-Luxembourg relations as well as mutual interests, common interests and cooperation were discussed.
On that occasion, the two leaders exchanged views on Nepal's development priorities and economic cooperation between Nepal and Luxembourg.
Minister Dr Deuba on the occasion also informed Minister Bettel that Nepal has reached the final stage of ending the peace process internally. Also, she sought Luxembourg's support as Nepal is going to apply for the membership of the United Nations Security Council and the Human Rights Council.
Diplomatic relations between Nepal and Luxembourg were established in 1975.
