Four Killed in Elevator Accident, Uttar Pradesh

At least four persons were killed and a few others injured after a lift crashed inside an under-construction building in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a local cop confirmed.

The mishap occurred in the state's Greater Noida area, nearly 30 km from the national capital. All the deceased were construction laborers.

"A lift was being installed inside the building, which suddenly collapsed, leading to the deaths of the four construction laborers. A couple of others were also injured in the mishap," he said.

The injured were admitted to a local hospital.

Investigation of the incident is underway, said the cop.
