A free health camp organised in Dailekh has benefited people from five districts including Dailekh, Kalikot, Jajarkot and Achham. Seventy-five needy people of the five districts were provided with the health check-up services.
Similarly, free medical services were provided to 1231 people suffering from orthopaedic-related problems.
The orthopaedic health camp launched targeting those communities for whom the service seems economically unaffordable.
An 18-member specialist squad from the Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital rendered the services. A medical specialist from abroad was also a team member.
According to Narayan Municipality mayor Loman Sharma, the service was meant for those who were unable to visit Kathmandu or outside the district to seek the service due to an economic issue. Some cases have been referred to Kathmandu for surgery free of cost, it is said.
