Fifteen women with uterine rupture have been treated free of cost in Bogatan Phudsil village. A team led by Dr. Lekhnath Bhatt has provided free treatment to a woman with uterine prolapse with the financial support of the municipality.

The woman, who has been suffering from uterine problems for years, underwent the surgery with the financial support of the villagers and technical assistance from Shaileshwari Hospital Dipayal, said Aijang Kunwar, managing director of Shaileshwari Hospital Dipayal. According to him, the surgery performed by the TAH method has taken four hours per patient.

According to Bhagwati Bam, vice-chairperson of the village, a uterine surgery camp has been conducted for the women as they have mental and physical problems and it can affect their health. Doctors say that the problem is becoming more and more complicated as hundreds of women with uterine problems are hiding in many parts of the district due to financial constraints.
