KATHMANDU: Dengue infections in the country have exceeded 28,000, with 12 deaths reported.
The most recent figures from the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) indicate that the total number of confirmed cases is 28,212.
In Bagmati Province, 9,132 cases have been confirmed, while Lumbini Province has reported 1,445 infections. Additionally, Sudurpaschim has recorded 1,189 cases.
In Kaski District alone, there have been 7,161 reported infections.
This data reflects the situation as of the second week of January.
According to the EDCD, dengue has been reported in 76 of the 77 districts nationwide.
