Those arriving in Nepal from Afghanistan have been quarantined in the Holding Centre managed by the government at Samakhusi in Kathmandu in coordination with the COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre.

Furthermore, RT-PCR and antigen tests are being conducted on them to reduce the risk of COVID-19 and other infections, said the Ministry in a press statement here today.

To facilitate the rescue operation, the Ministry has coordinated efforts with the ally countries making flights from and to Kabul in Afghanistan.

Those willing to come home from Afghanistan could still register their names in the online portal on the website of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry, the press statement appealed.
