Nepal's Abhishek Baral and Ashutosh Baral have won gold medals in the Sarawak Borneo Cup International Taekwondo Championship held in Malaysia. Abhishek won the gold medal in the men's 80 kg weight category and Ashutosh in the men's above 87 kg weight category.
Similarly, Pujan Khadka won silver medals in the men's 54 kg weight group, Suraj Karki in 74 kg and Abas Khan in men's 68 kg.
Similarly, Pooja Kunwar in women's 68 kg weight group, Abhishek Dallakoti in men's 52 kg, Srichandra Karki in 55 kg, Aftav Khan in weight group above 87 kg and Jwalasingh Gurung in 68 kg have won bronze medals.
Nepal won one gold and three silver medals in the PUMSE competition. Nepal's Rekhmaya Gurung won the gold medal in the women's 30-40 age group.
Similarly, Sandipa Amgain won the silver medal in the women's age group of 18 to 30 years, Mohammad Umar Khan in the men's age group and Roshan Khan in the age group of 40 to 50 years.
After Malaysia, Nepali athletes will compete in the 11th Asian Junior Taekwondo Championship in Vietnam. The Junior Taekwondo Championship is being organized from August 25th to 27th.
