Corona infection has spread inside the district jail. According to prison chief Dhara Bhandari, corona infection has been confirmed among 16 prisoners inside the prison. He informed that the infection was confirmed in 16 of the prisoners after fever, cold and symptoms similar to corona virus. Infection was found in 16 people, four through PCR and 12 through antigen.

Jail Chief Bhandari said, "On Wednesday, we conducted PCR tests on four prisoners who showed symptoms similar to Corona. After the infection was confirmed in them, another 89 people were also tested for antigen, and on Thursday, 12 more people were infected. "It is a problem to keep the prisoners who have been infected separately inside the prison. Mentioning that they could not be kept in isolation when there were four times more prisoners than the capacity, he said, "There were 93 people in the prison with the capacity to hold 25 prisoners. While there are many problems to manage them, it has become even more difficult after the spread of Corona."

Due to the spread of corona infection in the prison, the meeting of the prisoners has been banned. In view of the additional risk of infection, meeting activities have been stopped. According to the prison office, there are almost four times more prisoners than the capacity, and the lack of space has made it very difficult to manage the stay. The prison, which was built in the year 2040, has become dilapidated due to lack of maintenance and reconstruction.
