Deliberation on Appropriation Bill continues

Discussions on the topics under different ministries in the Appropriation Bill, 2080 are ongoing in parliament.

Discussions on the Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Drinking Water, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security were held at Tuesday's meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Taking part in the deliberations, lawmaker Lal Bir Chaudhary asked the government to immediately ensure supply of chemical fertilizer as the farmers have not received it during the time of farming.

He asked the government to make provisions for the import of chemical fertilizer on time by properly utilizing Rs 30 billion allocated for the imports of fertilizer.

Lawmaker Amresh Kumar Singh argued that the new cities should be organised as the life in Kathmandu Valley is impacted due to a gradual extinction of public spaces.

Similarly, lawmaker Arjun Narsingh KC asked to ensure security and justice to the marginalized and oppressed communities.

Also taking part in the deliberation, lawmaker Lekhnath Dahal stated that the internal debt should be invested in the productive sector.

Lawmakers Ramhari Khatiwada, Rajendra Kumar Rai, Narayani Sharma, Ranendra Baraili, Yogendra Mandal, Anita Devi and others shared their views on different aspects of the budget.
