The government has again increased the fare of public transport. As the market price of fuel has risen, the fare of public transport has also been increased with effect from July 11, according to the Department of Transport Management.

According to the department, the fare for passenger vehicles has increased by 1.79 percent. According to the department, the fare has been increased by 2.34 per cent for hilly vehicles and 2.6 per cent for Terai vehicles.

Earlier, the transport department had increased the transport fare on April 26. Later, the transport fare was reduced on July 26 after the price of fuel decreased.
