Govt to bear all expenses for treatment of Doti incident survivors

The government has planned to bear all expenses for the treatment of a woman and her daughter injured in the incident at Adarsha Rural Municipality of Doti district.

Issuing a press release on Monday, Home Ministry shared that it would bear all the costs for the treatment of Laxmi Bhat and Anju Bhat.

Santosh Bhat of Adarsha rural municipality-4 had set his wife Laxmi and daughter Anju on fire with an intention to kill them. Both mother and daughter were injured in the incident that took place as they were asleep.

According to the Ministry, Santosh set the room where his wife and daughter were sleeping on fire after sprinkling inflammable liquid in the room from outside. The incident had taken place on May 26.

Both mother and daughter have been airlifted to a hospital in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, today for further treatment from Sujang Hospital, Doti.

The press release issued by Ministry Spokesperson, Janak Raj Dahal, mentioned that stern action would be taken against those involved in the incident.
