HM's directive for special attention to the injured

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the concerned authorities to pay attention to the injured in the accident that took place when a passenger bus heading to Bhairahawa from Janakpur fell from the Rohini Bridge in Rupandehi this morning.

The Home Minister has instructed Rupandehi Chief District Officer Rishi Ram Tiwari, Lumbini Province Police Chief Deputy Inspector General Nal Prasad Upadhyay and Rupandehi Police Chief Superintendent of Police Rabindra Regmi to arrange for the treatment of the injured. The Home Minister has requested the Chair of Bhim Hospital Kul Prasad Neupane and Medical Superintendent Dr Shakuntala Gupta and the Head of Administration of Universal Medical College Tej KC to make arrangements for the treatment of the injured, according to Madhusudan Bhattarai, Press Coordinator of the Home Minister.

According to Rupandehi Chief Superintendent of Police Regmi, the bus (Lu 2 Kha 3841) heading from Janakpur to Bhairahawa met with the accident at Rohini Bridge on the Bhairahawa-Parasi Postal Road in Rohini rural municipality-3 at around 4:45 am. Nine people died in the accident.

Five of the deceased have been identified as Rajendra Pandey, Bishnu Poudel and Krishna Prasad Basyal of Rupandehi, Dinesh Das of Rautahat and Arvind Sharma of India.
