The respective insignia has been conferred on newly-promoted Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police Sahakul Thapa. A Cabinet meeting held on July 8 had decided to promote Thapa to the post of the AIG from the post of Deputy Inspector General.
At a programme organised at the Nepal Police Headquarters today, Inspector General of Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri conferred the insignia on Thapa.
On the occasion, IGP Chhetri urged AIG Thapa to carry out his responsibilities after the promotion with new energy. He pointed out the need to move ahead with a new action plan in the coming days to further strengthen and develop the organisation.
Similarly, AIG Thapa expressed his commitment to fulfil the responsibilities assigned by the government and police organisation with full devotion.
