Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Krishna Kumar Shrestha, has stressed that local level plans should reflect the needs of people.
In his address to an annual review meeting organized today by the Tanahu District Coordination Committee at Bandipur Rural Municipality-5, the Minister was of the view that locals’ needs should be the baseline of plans of local governments.
Highlighting the need for common understanding and collaboration among all political parties for development endeavors, he called for collective efforts to build Tanahu prosperous. “Development activities should not be politicised.”
House of Representatives (HoR) member Kalila Khan, NA member Prakash Path and Gandaki Province Assembly member Ram Bahadur Gurung among others stressed the need for media roles to promote the good efforts of local governments.
Administrative officers from different local levels in the districts: Byas, Shuklagandaki, Bhimad, and Bhanu municipalities and Ghiring, Devghat, Bandipur, Aabukhaireni, Rhishing, and Myagde rural municipalities represented the annual progress reports of the respective offices.
