The government of Lumbini Province has announced a budget of more than Rs 40.95 billion for the next fiscal year 2078/79. The budget was announced by Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning Baijanath Chaudhary.
The government has allocated Rs 14.93 for recurrent expenditure. Similarly, a budget of over Rs 21.17 billion has been allotted for capital expenditure. The government has also announced a hike in the monthly salary of civil servants by Rs 2,000 per month.
Meanwhile, more than Rs 5.14 billion has been allocated for the purpose of providing financial aid to the local levels.
