Kanchanpur police on Thursday night arrested a man in possession of 1.530gm of heroin from Beldadi bazar in Beldadi Rural Municipality-2.
The arrested has been identified as Deepak Singh Thakurathi, a 28-year-old resident of the same rural municipality in Kanchanpur district.
He was riding on a motorcycle with vehicle registration number SU-PA-PRA 01-008 PA 6005. Security personnel deployed from the Beldadi-based Area Police Office nabbed him with the substances during a routine vehicle check.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
