Police in Siraha district arrested a man in possession of a pistol and bullet from Balahi in Sukhipur Municipality-7 on Sunday morning.
The arrested has been identified as Ganesh Kumar, a 47-year-old resident of the same municipality in Siraha district.
Acting on a tip-off, joint security personnel deployed from the Golbazar-based Area Police Office and Shivachowk-based Temporary Police Post nabbed him. The police also seized the gun and bullet from his possession while searching his house. He was hiding the gun and bullet in a straw hut near his house.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
