Operation of 'Khaja Ghar' to meet the expenses

Asmita Khanal, who is studying in class 8 at Panauti Basic School in Purano Bazaar, Ward No. 7 of Panauti Municipality, is busy making and distributing yomori. She and her students have been busy at work for about two weeks after the school launched a 'lunch house' targeting Makar Mela.

Ranjita of Panauti-4 Japati is busy all day making yomori by wiping her flour. She says that he has started these works to save money for educational trips. Eleven students have been working as volunteers in the lunch house run by the school. Their job is to make yamori cook it, give it to the customer. The school has stated that the daily sales of Yomi range from Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000. They have been working alternately. 58 students studying in class seven and eight in the school are preparing for the visit.

The school is currently closed due to the risk of corona infection. It is said that the operation of 'Khaja Ghar' in the school building at a time when the educational activities were closed also helped the students in their skills and volunteer work. The school is one of the oldest schools in the Panauti area, said Laxminarayan Khwaju of Panauti-7.

Not only the students but also the teachers are working hard to run the canteen. The work is being done under the leadership of Principal Laxmi Krishna Tamrakar. He said that it is estimated that the income from the canteen will be around Rs. 60,000 to 70,000. There are 240 students studying in the school.
