Outstanding students awarded by Chinese Embassy

 The Embassy of China in Kathmandu on Tuesday hosted an event to honour students who excelled in various categories, including the Chinese language speech contest, Chinese cultural performance, and painting competition. The occasion marked the culmination of the 16th Chinese-Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Secondary Level School Students in Nepal.

Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Ashok Kumar Rai was present at the event to commend the students for their achievements. Minister Rai congratulated the awardees and acknowledged China’s advancements in innovation and technology, emphasizing its consistent support to Nepal.

Minister Rai underscored the importance of bilateral cooperation between Nepal  and China across different sectors, particularly in academia. He encouraged sustained academic collaborations and exchanges between the two countries.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, also addressed the gathering, reiterating China’s commitment to contribute to the development of Chinese language education in Nepal. Ambassador Chen pledged support through grants to enhance curriculum development and expressed the desire to elevate cooperation efforts.

Ambassador Chen highlighted the broader significance of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, portraying it as a platform for mutually beneficial cooperation and cultural exchange between civilizations.

The event served as a platform to strengthen the ties between Nepal and China, focusing on educational and cultural cooperation. The recognition of exceptional student achievements showcased the enduring partnership between the two nations and set the stage for future collaborative initiatives.
