Permanent entry permit would be provided to the locals of Nepal-China border on the basis of citizenship certificate for their movement up to Kerung.
Earlier, permanent entry card was being provided on the basis of citizenship certificate or document of migration.
The local government requested to provide permanent entry permit only to the persons having citizenship certificates issued from Rasuwa district following the increasing complaint that people out of the district started obtaining such identity card by submitting fake migration document.
Gosainkunda Rural Municipality requested the Immigration Office, Timure, to issue permanent entry permit based on citizenship document issued by Rasuwa district administration for the people's movement up to Kerung. The rural municipality also urged the bodies concerned to make arrangement in order to provide 'one-day permit' to other persons willing to visit Kerung, said Chairperson Kaisang Nurpu Tamang.
Tamang shared that the rural municipality had sought suggestion from the locals on the issue of making all activities on the border area systematic and disciplined by correcting weakness.
