PM Dahal and new ministers take oath

Newly appointed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has taken oath of office and secrecy today at Rashtrapati Bhavan Shital Niwas. He was sworn in by President Bidya Devi Bhandari. Prime Minister Dahal has now taken the responsibility of various ministries as well as the post of Prime Minister.

He wore formal national dress for the first time at the swearing-in ceremony. While taking the oath, he said that he will take the oath in the name of the country and the people.

The newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Ministers were sworn in by the President in a ceremony held at Shital Niwas.

In the new government, 3 people have got the responsibility of Deputy Prime Minister.

CPN-UML's Bishnu Prasad Paudel Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Maoist Center's Narayankaji Shrestha Deputy Prime Minister and Physical Infrastructure Minister and National Independent Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane have been given the responsibility of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister. In the same year that he entered politics, Lamichhane has received important responsibilities.

Similarly, although Jwalakumari Shah, Damodar Bhandari, Rajendra Rai and Abdulla Khan took oath as ministers, the information about the assignment of duties was given during the oath-taking ceremony.

 The newly appointed ministers were sworn in simultaneously, Jwalakumari Shah was late and was sworn in later.

Outgoing Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was also present. CPN-UML President KP Sharma Oli and CPN United Samajbadi President Madhab Kumar Nepal sat together at the oath-taking ceremony.
