The official twitter handle of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers @PM_nepal_ has been reset.
As the office said, the twitter handle was hacked since Wednesday evening and irrelevant tweets were posted in it.
Now it has been restored with the implementation of all available safety measures including the 'two factor authentication (2FA)'. Information Technology expert at the Office of the Prime Minister, Prakash Raymajhi, said investigation into the hacking issue is underway and facts surrounding it will be published soon.
