Senior member of HoR calls all-party meeting

The senior member of the House of Representatives, Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana, has called an all-party meeting on Friday to decide the issues for the first meeting of the House. This meeting has been called for the preparation of the first meeting of the Federal Parliament next Monday.

Party whips and representatives from the parliamentary party have been called to the meeting to be held at 1 p.m. Independent parliamentarians have also been invited to the meeting. The Parliament Secretariat has informed that the meeting will discuss issues such as the election of the Speaker, preparations for the government's vote of confidence, and the President's address.

Similarly, it is a practice for the president to address the new parliament formed after the election. There will be a discussion in the all-party meeting to arrange it.
