Police in Morang district on Friday morning arrested seven persons involved in stealing a motorcycle from Sundarharaicha Municipality-4.
The arrested have been identified as Rajesh Mehta (28), Kop Balram Gurung (38), Subash Limbu (39), Machin Rai (30), Golmol Rai (21), Roman Pariyar (19), and Manoj Pariyar (21), all residents of the same sub-metropolis in Morang district.
They had allegedly stolen the motorcycle with vehicle registration number PRA1-05-001 PA 0061 belonging to Madan Kumar Chaudhary of Baliya in Sundarharaicha Municipality-4 on May 26 according to the Belbari-based Area Police Office.
Police who were investigating incidents of motorcycle theft, along with security personnel deployed from the Belbari-based Area Police Office nabbed Rajesh Mehta and also seized the motorcycle from his residence. The police also nabbed the other six accused who were allegedly involved in motorcycle theft from their residence.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed District Police Office, Morang.
