Singer Koirala bags Chettrapratap Memorial Literary Award

The Chettrapratap Memorial Literary Award 2078 established by Geetal Pratisthan Nepal and Natak Manch Tanahu will be given to senior singer Haridevi Koirala. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Manch or Forum held in Damauli on Saturday.

Chair of the Forum Aakash Adhikari shared that the award is being presented to Koirala for her significant contribution to the field of art and culture. The prize money is Rs 25,000 in cash.

Similarly, it has been decided to award poet Prollas Sindhulia with the Geetal National Award 2077 and singer Raj Sigdel from the same award for the year 2078. The prize money is Rs. 7,000. Similarly, Geetal Pratibha Award will be given to folk singer Shankar Pariyar for 2077 BS and folk singer Asha BC for 2078 BS, said Chair Adhikari. The prize money is Rs. 5,000 each.

The Forum has been playing an important role in the field of language, literature, and art culture at the local and national levels.
