Solar plant to generate electricity

The solar plant will generate electricity from the grounds of Khopechaur and Ghughutti power plants in Chandannath Municipality-3 of Jumla. A 1,500 kilowatt solar plant will be set up here for power supply management. The location for the solar plant has also been selected.

A place has been selected for setting up a solar plant in the grassland near Khopchaur and Ghughutti Power House in Chandannath Municipality-3 of the district. Chief of the power distribution center Jumla, Naresh Dutta Rawal, informed that the plant was selected and sent to Khopechaur with the investment of Nepal Electricity Authority.

 The district has not been able to get regular power supply even though it is connected to the national transmission line. Dailekh is connected to the national transmission line in Jumla via Kalikot. The district has not yet reached the national transmission line at all the local levels.
