Two people have died after drowning in a pond at separate places in Nawalparasi (Bardghat-Sustapur). According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Santosh Pathak, Information Officer of the District Police Office, two people drowned in a pond in Kawasoti and Devchuli of the district today.
Hrithik, the six-year-old son of Maya Sinjali of Devchuli-10 Ganesh tol, suddenly drowned while swimming in the pond located at Kawasoti-4. The missing child in the pond was rescued by a police team deployed from the temporary police post-Shankhadev and local residents.
A two-year-old girl died today after drowning in a pond in Kawasoti-14 Hegouli. Prinsa Chaudhary, daughter of Puran Chaudhary of Hegauli, drowned in her own fish pond while playing in the yard in front of her house. Deputy Superintendent of Police Pathak informed that she was rescued from the pool and brought to Madhyabindu District Hospital Danda for treatment.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Pathak informed that those who were rescued from drowning in the pond died during treatment at Madhyabindu District Hospital Danda in Sinjali.
