Two held with heroin in Saptari

Police in Saptari district on Tuesday night arrested two youths in possession of 12gm heroin from Hanumannagar in Kankalini Municipality-1.

The arrested have been identified as Krishna Kumar Shah (24) and Pankaj Yadav (25), both residents of Rajbiraj Municipality in Saptari district.

Security personnel deployed from the Bhardah-based Area Police Office nabbed them with the substance during a routine vehicle check.

Meanwhile, Sunsari police on Tuesday afternoon recovered 102kg marijuana from Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-8. The police recovered the marijuana from a maize field in Sisuwa Dharampur.

A team of the Armed Police Force (APF) had informed that there was cannabis in the maize field. Security personnel deployed from the Sunsari-based District Police Office recovered the cannabis.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, informed the police.
