Police in Morang district on Wednesday morning arrested a youth on charge of stealing Rs 50,000 and a 2.5-tola silver chain from Bishwokarma Chowk in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-8.
The arrested has been identified as Anil Kumar Yadav, a 22-year-old resident of the same metropolitan in Morang district.
Yadav allegedly stole the cash and silver chain belonging to Rajkumar Shrestha (55), a resident of Amar Tole in Biratnagar Metropolitan-8, last night.
The Morang-based District Police (DPO) nabbed Yadav and also recovered the stolen cash and silver chain from his residence.
He has been charged with theft and further investigation into the case is underway, informed DPO, Morang.
