Chairperson of Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Upendra Yadav said the country could be prosperous once all citizens had valued participation in the State affairs. During a cadres' meeting here Sunday, Chairperson Yadav viewed country's resources should be utilized well for development.
The Chairperson reminded that when he visited abroad as he was the foreign minister, he realized that Nepal had more potential for development than other countries. Modernization of agriculture with its commercialization, production of hydropower and promotion of Nepali tourism abroad could be the foundation for development, he added.
On a different note, he argued the constitution should be amended. The amendment of constitution was voiced since its promulgation, he reminded, adding that only amendment would ensure the welfare of all Nepalis. The Chairperson further said the amendment was not for seizing any community's rights but to establish everyone's equal rights.
On the occasion, he also welcomed the new entrants in his party.
