Communication services have been disrupted in Baitadi and Darchula districts of Sudurpaschim Province following the glitches in optical fibers.
The services halted since Tuesday afternoon after there were problems in optical fibers spanning from Katapate to Gothalapani in Baitadi district, said the Nepal Telecom, Baitadi. As a result, consumers have been affected in various ways ranging from being deprived of using internet and phone services, said local people.
A team of technicians has been sent to the affected areas, said Bikram Tamata, Chief of the NTC office in the district, adding that the services would resume soon.
