NC sees need for transformation in party: leader Poudel

Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has underlined the need for reformation in the party.

In his address to a reception organised here today by the NC, Shuklagandaki on the occasion of the upcoming Dashain festival, the leader said that a section of people within the party were advocating for the leadership handover, but the transformation was the need of the hour.

As he claimed, the party’s upcoming 14th General Convention would send a new message to the public. He took time to insist on combined efforts to make the party more trustworthy.

The NC senior leader was of the view for correction in the behaviors and conducts of leaders to promote fair politics. “The NC is expected to be vocal against corruption and the people also aspire to see that,” he said, urging one and all to contribute to further consolidate the party and prevent it from the risk of polarisation.

NC central member Govinda Bhattarai echoed the need for a new generation and new ideologies within the party for party organisational strengthening.
