Chairman of Nepal Socialist Party, Dr Baburam Bhattarai, has said the political parties of Maoist front should come together in a new way.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Foundation for the Children of Martyrs and Disappeared Warriors in the federal capital on Sunday, Chairman Bhattarai viewed, "Irrespective of the past mistakes, we need to be united with our strength now. It is time to discuss and review. The Maoists must be united in a new manner."

He further stressed the need for building a front to forge unity among the like minded ones.

Chairman Bhattarai reminded that filing a case against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' is an attempt to attack Maoists. "How can a sitting PM be filed a legal case? Isn't it a matter of prompt tussle?" He wondered.

He further said as the Maoist fronts were not able to unite, they were losing many things. "If the constitution was made by the first Constituent Assembly, the country could get a good constitution, conduct army integration and complete the remaining tasks of martyrs and families of the disappeared ones," he regretted, expressing worry over eluding unity among the Maoist fronts. He also vented ire why the leadership handover was not practised.

On the occasion, General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party, Netra Bikram Chand, also expressed worry that the martyrs' sacrifice was not respected. "If the country does not see change; if the sacrifice of martyrs is not recognized, it would lead to another revolution," he warned.

Similarly, Coordinator of Nepal Bahumat Party, Dharmendra Bastola, viewed it as disappointing to have nothing changed by the revolution so far. He blamed that the leaders who are admitting mistakes had to review properly on time in the past.

Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre Socialist), Karna Jit Budhathoki, said the dream of martyrs must not be forgotten.

The Foundation members urged the Maoist leaders to move ahead in a united manner.
