Talks between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairperson of CPN UML, and senior party leader Madhav Kumar Nepal have started at Singhadurbar today.
The leaders will be finalising the details of the formation of a working committee that will look into resolving the differences that have surfaced within the party. Prior to this, a meeting that included the second rung leaders of the party also had decided to form a working committee and the authority to do so had been assigned to Oli and Nepal.
The intra-party feud within CPN UML has raised the prospects of the party splitting. However, Oli had called Nepal and sought a dialogue to resolve the issues plaguing the party.
To maintain the unity of the party the CPN UML Standing Committee meeting held on May 13 had decided to withdraw the suspension of Madhav Kumar Nepal along with three other party members - Bhim Rawal, Surendra Pandey, and Ghanashyam Bhusal.
