The 13th central committee (CC) meeting of the ruling CPN UML ended after approving the five-point organisational proposal, on Saturday.
The meeting approved the organisational proposal tabled by party general secretary Ishwar Pokharel.
As approved, party membership should be renewed and the record will be submitted to the party central office by July 20.
Similarly, the party’s statute convention will be held on August 9 to 11 in Kathmandu. For this, the party chairman will prepare the political document; general secretary will prepare the organisational proposal; party organisation department chief would prepare proposal statute amendment document; and leader Ram Bahadur Thapa will lead the management committee.
Furthermore, party’s ward level conventions would be conducted on August 21.
Similarly, the meeting has urged the entire party organisation to prepare for the general elections.
