A meeting between Nepali Congress leader and UML leader Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology at the residence of Chairman of the Main Opposition Party CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli in Balkot today ended without any conclusion.
The team withdrew from Balkot after the leaders failed to reach a conclusion after the UML failed to reach an agreement and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) was tabled in the parliament. Leaving Oli's residence in Balkot, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Karki said that he could not give a new message from today's discussion. After the discussion, UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said that the UML could not give its decision as the opinion of the alliance was not yet clear. In today's discussion, talks were held between Congress spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Karki, Congress Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Gagan Thapa and UML Senior Vice President Ishwor Pokharel, Vice President Bishnu Poudel, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel and Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Rimal. In Bolkot, discussions were held between the leaders of the Nepali Congress, including Prime Minister Deuba, and the leaders of the UML, including Chairman Oli.
